The frequency of using an Active Ability is governed by its Cooldown. When an Ability is activated, it enters a cooldown which can last from several seconds to multiple minutes or hours of game time. The Quickness attribute reduces the length of ability cooldown timers.
Ability cooldown timers tick down while playing the game. They do not reduce when the game is paused or the party is traveling on the World Map.
Resting will refresh all Ability cooldown timers.
